Dr. Glendon F. Archer
Outside Director
Dr. Glendon F. Archer, President and CEO of Metallica Commodities Corp., co-founded the global trading company in 2001. With over 20 years in the international commodities market, he has expanded Metallica into a multi-continent operation focused on base metals and industrial by-products. Known for his strategic vision, Dr. Archer developed proprietary processes for recovering and repurposing mixed-metal streams, emphasizing operational excellence, environmental sustainability, and circular economy principles.

Dr. Desmond Sears
Outside Director
Dr. Desmond Sears, Strategic Advisor, is a prominent Guyanese business leader and the Chairman of the Private Sector Commission (PSC) of Guyana since June 21, 2018. He is a seasoned and resourceful logistics and shipping professional with over fifty (50) years of experience in Guyana’s mining (bauxite and aggregate) industry. He is a member of the multi stakeholder group of the Guyana Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative (GYEITI). Desmond received his Doctors Degree in Maritime Administration from the European International University (EIU) Paris in 2022. He is also a graduate in Professional Shipping from the Norwegian Shipping Academy and has worked in the Shipping Industry since 1974. He is also a member of the Silver Club of the Caribbean Shipping Association, a former Chairman of the Shipping Association of Guyana where he now serves as a Trustee and has also held the position of Chairman of the Private Sector Commission of Guyana (PSC). He is currently a member of the Executive Management Committee and Council member of the PSC representing the Shipping Community. Desmond is currently a Director on the Boards of the Guyana Sugar Corporation, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Deeds and Commercial Registry Authority and is also a member of the Public Accountability and Oversight Committee of the National Resource Fund (NRF). He is a former Honorary Consul General for the Kingdom of Norway to Guyana (2013 – 2023), and the recipient of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit.
