Grid Modernization – Duquesne Light Company, Pennsylvania (U.S.)

Mr. Frank led grid modernization efforts at Duquesne Light Company, focusing on aligning business plans with the company’s transformation goals. He worked with cross-functional teams to define product backlogs and enhance customer experiences. He oversaw departmental strategies and budgets, driving results through analysis of key performance indicators and data-driven decisions. He communicated progress and strategic updates to the Leadership Team, Board of Directors, and PAPUC, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.

Successfully implemented systems like Outage Management System (OMS) and Geographical Information System (GIS) to improve grid reliability and customer service.

Transmission and Distribution Facilities for Atmos Energy Corporation – Bethel Texas (U.S.)

As project manager, Mr. Andrews directed a team responsible for engineering, designing, procurement, and construction of a 1.2-mile extension of a 138kV transmission line and the construction of a new 10MVA, 138kV/4.16kV AIS substation under an EPCM contract. Mr. Andrews’ role included overseeing the EPCM team, defining design strategies, tracking progress on design and construction, and holding regular status meetings with the client, subconsultants, installation contractors and equipment suppliers. Additionally, Mr. Andrews supported the client in negotiating interconnection agreements with the local utility company and managing development of tender documents for various installation contractors and equipment suppliers.

Grid Modernization – Bahamas Power & Light, Bahamas

As project manager, Mr. Frank led the Bahamas Power and Light project team charged with focusing on technical upgrades and community engagement to improve reliability in Eleuthera. Key actions included replacing over seventy-seven poles, clearing vegetation on feeder lines, servicing streetlights, and enhancing generation capabilities with new units and repairs. The project resulted in significant reductions in unplanned outages, alongside improved communication strategies that decreased negative customer sentiment. Moving forward, BPL plans to energize the new 34.5 kV line and enhance generation capacity.
