The meeting took place on Friday, October 17, and was attended by government officials PASSALE KANABE Marcelin, Minister of Water and Energy, and FATIMA HARAM Acyl, Delegate to the Minister of State, along with other senior officials.

Led by SolCaribe founders Warren Andrews and Francis Frank, the discussions explored various pathways to strengthen and modernize Chad’s energy infrastructure. Prioritizing efficiency and sustainability, the proposed partnership would serve as a vital stepping stone toward transforming the energy landscape in Central Africa.

Transforming Chad’s Electrical Infrastructure

The primary focus of this partnership is the development of a national electricity transmission network, coupled with a major capacity-building program for ministry technicians. With over 75 years of collective experience, SolCaribe aims to leverage its expertise to further sustainable development throughout the region.

If implemented, the project would have an immediate and lasting impact on local communities, aligning perfectly with the government’s National Development Plan, “Chad Connection 2030.”

This plan serves as a structured development model with strategic investments across various industries, designed to stimulate rapid social and economic growth.

As instructed by the Minister of Water and Energy, SolCaribe will work directly with the department’s General Secretariat to continue technical discussions without delay and continue advancements in Chad’s electrical infrastructure.
